Description of the Program

The focus of this in-person meeting of the Veterans Network is to re-engage network members. We will review accomplishments from the previous year and make recommendations for future projects. We will tour a selected facility that will give the group insight to services being provided to justice-impacted veterans.

Takeaways from this meeting will include updated projects for the VETNET and the observation of "best practices" when dealing with veterans becoming involved with the criminal justice system.

About Travel-Related Expenses

If participant travel is required, authorized travel-related expenses will be reimbursed within 60 to 90 days of the conclusion of this event. Flights are paid for in advance by NIC. Reimbursable expenses include lodging, per diem (meals and incidentals), baggage, parking, and mileage. Additional details for reimbursable expenses will be provided when travel arrangements are made by NIC.

NIC does not reimburse travel expenses for Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) employees or employees of other federal agencies. Federal participants must seek travel authorization and reimbursement through their own agency.
