Description of the Program

The NSI Leadership Development course is an intensive four-day training program designed specifically for first term sheriffs. Held at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, this comprehensive course provides sheriffs a unique opportunity to deeply assess their individual leadership strengths and define a clear leadership direction tailored to their unique roles. Through interactive discussions and practical exercises, attendees will explore critical topics such as developing a personal leadership direction, effective stakeholder engagement strategies, cultivating emotional intelligence, and mastering the art of leading change within their organizations. The program culminates in the creation of a personalized leadership development plan, equipping sheriffs with actionable strategies to effectively engage their leadership team and advance their organization's mission, vision, and values.

Prerequisites:

Course enrollment is open to first-term sheriffs only.

A note on costs:

Attendees are responsible for all travel-related costs. All meals and lodging at the FBI Academy are paid for by NIC.
