NIC recognizes the important role of supervisory staff in successful agency outcomes and the safety of incarcerated/supervised individuals, staff, the public, and the orderly operations of correctional agencies. The most successful agencies in corrections are those whose leadership recognizes the key role frontline leadership plays in organizational readiness to change and the ability of agencies to fulfill their missions, values and goals. During this course, we will concentrate on the prominence of this leadership role, and the knowledge and skills to effectively supervise on behalf of their organizations.
